17-Year-Old Michigan Teen Calls 911 On Mom For Driving Drunk
911 dispatch in Blissfield, Michigan got a frantic call from a 17-year-old girl who was in the backseat of her mom's car along with her 15-year-old brother. The teen said her mom was driving drunk and that they didn't feel safe at all and needed someone to come find them.

A few moments after the 911 call, the vehicle was spotted by Officer Thomas Anton with the Blissfield Police Department. He observed the car having a hard time staying on the road telling ABC 13
The vehicle was actually going over the lines and actually almost hit another car next to it, and it came over the double yellow lines twice and almost caused a head-on collision twice,
How Drunk Was The Mom?
Officers took the 45-year-old mother of two to the Lenawee County Jail where they say she blew twice the legal limit. Michigan.gov says it is a crime for a driver to have a bodily alcohol content (BAC) of .08 or greater if over age 21 or .02 or greater if under 21. In addition, Michigan has a high-BAC law with enhanced penalties for anyone caught driving with a BAC of .17 or higher. However, drivers can be arrested at any BAC level if they exhibit signs of impairment while operating a motor vehicle.
What Happened After The Mom Was Arrested?
The man who was in the front seat was able to drive the kids to their grandmother's house where they were released into her custody for the time being.
