A 10-year old Michigan girl, that can probably out-cook you, will be showing off her cooking chops (pun intended) on the Food Network show, Chopped Junior.

WNEM reports that 10-year-old Sayde Woodruff of Beaverton (Gladwin County) went to New York City earlier this year to film the episode which will appear next week.

Chopped Junior is a cooking competition where kid chefs have to create a dish based on the items in the mystery basket. There are four contestants and three rounds (appetizer, dinner, and dessert); a competitor is eliminated after each round until only one is left to be crowned the "Chopped Champ."

Sayde told WNEM that she's been cooking for as long as she can remember and her favorite thing to cook is either Italian or comfort food.

We'll be able to see how Sayde did in the competition when her episode airs Tuesday, July 16 at 9 p.m. and according to the episode info on the website, the kids had to cook with alligator and edible slime which should definitely make for some interesting dishes.
