When you think you have heard it all in this crazy world, something else surprises you.

The Washington Times is reporting that four Pennsylvania police offers were sitting in a diner last Saturday eating when a couple came in and refused to sit next to them.

Really is this what we have come to, how about the police refusing to help them in their time of need.  I bet they would cry like little children if the police just refused to come to their aid.

The server who was seating the couple was quoted in the article stating:

“A table goes to sit down and the guy looks over at one of the police officers and was like, ‘Nah I don’t want to sit here.  So they got moved completely opposite, away from the police officers.”

One of the police officers, Chuck Thomas, believed it was obvious that the couple didn’t want anything to do with the officers.  He was quoted in the article stating:

“I looked over and said, ‘It’s OK, sir. You won’t have to worry about it, we won’t hurt you. He looked at me hard again and said he’s not sitting here and walked away.”

Should they have asked them politely their address and when they were ever called in the future by them to simply refuse?

Did they act like spoiled teenagers like the couple did?

No the policed officers did not act liked spoiled teenagers.  What did they do?  Well two of the officers paid the check of the couple totaling $38.50.

One of the funny parts of this disrespect of the police that protect all of us was the officer wrote on the receipt

“Sir, your check was paid for by the police officers that you didn’t want to sit next to. Thank you for your support. I left a $10.00 tip too.”

We need to reign in the insaneness that has come to our country over the last 7 years.

Are there bad cops?  Yes, there are.  Just like there are bad and corrupt people in all walks of life.

Do we need to address the concerns of sane citizens and communities in regards to policing? Yes, there are.

Do we need to respect the people who protect us from the animals?  Yes, we do.

Without the police force there would be total madness in the street.

Let’s talk about this today on The Live with Renk Show which airs Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to noon. To let me know your thoughts during the show please call (269) 441-9595.
