Where have our priorities gone?

In a poll given by Fox News, “voters think enemy combatants held at Guantanamo Bay get better health care than veterans.”

I cannot begin to tell you how angry this makes me. Terrorists who have killed hundreds if not thousands of lives are given better treatment than our own veterans.

Where has our country’s pride gone? Where has the desire to be American and stand behind our country gone? Why are we not taking care of the men and women who have fought for our country?

Why do you think that thousands of Mexicans, Central and South Americans line up at our boarder and do whatever it takes even at the cost of losing their own life to have a shot at the American dream?

American is the most incredible country in the world and the people need to take a stand at the voting booth. Thomas Jefferson once said, “When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny."
