This past winter was rough everywhere in Michigan but in some places it was more severe than in others. The snow, ice and cold has been so extreme in Marquette County Governor Snyder today declared a state of emergency for the area.

Financial aid from the state will be used to help repair many damaged water and sewer lines. The ground has been frozen for so long some were simply unable to hold up. The estimated price tag to get everything fixed is well over a million dollars. And to make things worse the county is being battered with another winter storm this week.
