It's the annual Tourist in Your Own Town.   The event now in its 20th year and continues to offer more and more to visitors.  So says Brendan Dwyer, Manager of Marketing and Communications for the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau.

More than 1,500 people are expected to converge on Lansing's downtown area on Saturday for the event which runs from 10 am until 5 pm.

The Lansing State Journal is reporting that CATA is kicking in service as well to make the experience a pleasant one by offering rides for just 50-cents.

Among new events this year are tours of the Red Cedar Spirits distillery and Le Chat Gourmet Culinary Arts where demonstrations will be going on.

Traditional attractions, like Lansing's Potter Park Zoo and the Impression 5 Science Center, are returning this year to welcome guests as well.

For more information on attractions, passport prices and transportation options, you can go to the Bureau's website at www.lansing.org
