Everything must go...to charity. When the Ambergs decided to close their family business, they made things better for many other families.

Since 1946, the residents of Glenn have stopped by Gerstner Hardware to get what they needed to fix up their homes. Now, the store is closing and helping build new homes for others. Vicki and her husband Robert have owned the business for the last 15 years but have decided to spend more time with their daughter and close the long-time establishment.

Instead of an "everything must go" clearance event or selling the entire inventory to another hardware store, they donated everything to Habitat for Humanity. Every last nail in what was Gerstner Hardware goes into building new homes for families that can use some help. Some of the tools and equipment will replace worn gear that is currently being used by Habitat contractors and the rest will be for sale in the nearby Holland, Michigan Habitat for Humanity Restore.

Still think one person can't make a difference?
