A $10,000 grant is on its way to help out the "Commercial Maple Syrup Producers of Michigan." It's being reported this is one of those Michigan industries where there is plenty of growth potential. Last year about 10,400 gallons were produced. Officials say there's the ability to generate

a lot more. Stats show the state imports more maple syrup than it makes. The grant money will be used in part to heighten awareness of how the industry could benefit the state's economy even more than it already is.
