It didn't take long on day three of the 2018 NFL Draft for the Spartans streak of players drafted to remain intact. With the 111th pick (fourth round) the Los Angeles Rams took Brian Allen.

To say Brian Allen was excited would be an understatement.

Allen joins a team that's been very busy in terms of reshaping itself for a possible Super Bowl run. Just this offseason the Rams have added a lot of defensive firepower in the likes of Ndamukung Suh, and defensive backs Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters. On draft day the Rams also sent Tavon Austin to the Cowboys. The offseason acquisition of Brandin Cooks likely made Austin excessive to the teams needs.

Allen was the only Michigan State player taken over the three day draft, but one other Spartan so far will be in rookie camp this year.

Chris Frey announced via social media that he is going to the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent.

Demetrius Cooper, Gerald Holmes and Brett Scanlon are also undrafted free agents that are at the time still looking for camps to land in next summer and fall.
