Michigan law now says state, county and local government offices must fly American flags made in the U.S.. Today lawmakers in the State Senate have approved legislation that says American flags put on veteran's grave sites in Michigan must be made in the U.S. as well. The House approved it earlier so it now goes to Governor Snyder for his signature.

The only exception: if the foreign versions of the flag happened to be less expensive and were determined to be made of better quality material at the time they needed to be purchased.
