This week of Thanksgiving is not only a time to reflect on what we're all thankful for, but also to make our Christmas lists!

It seems these days Black Friday isn't a Friday anymore.

MLive.com is reporting today that a number of local stores will be offering the deep discounts beginning on Thanksgiving Day now.

Analysts say shoppers should look to local retailers first for sales then go online if needed.

Utilize social media to get alerts on sales on hot items and where to get them.

And the article says shopping early is better than waiting for Black Friday.  It says a number of of the nation's best known stores will be offering some of the sweetest deals--enough to drag you away from that pumpkin pie at the dinner table on Thanksgiving Day.
