According to MLive.com, the Board of State Canvassers has approved a petition to recall Attorney General Bill Schuette over his handling of investigations into the Flint Water Crisis. The approved recall language specifically targets Schuette's appointment of attorney Todd Flood, a former Wayne County assistant prosecutor and donor to Governor Rick Snyder's political campaign.

Residents that filed the petition contend that Schuette is only clouding up outside investigations into the state's handling of the Flint situation. If the recall petition is not appealed, its language is valid for a 180-day period. During this time, petitioners must collect over 789,000 signatures is a 60-day time frame during the 180-day period.
