As we are seeing on display, the establishment of the Republican Party will not go down without a fight, a fight that may lend to the further destruction of America.

In an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper yesterday, in a response to Tapper asking the following question "You have said that you will support the Republican nominee. Now you have a nominee, Donald Trump will you support him?"

The Speaker of the House Paul Ryan stated the following:

Well, to be perfectly candid with you, I'm not ready to do that yet at this point, I am not there right now. I hope to though. And I want to. What's required is that we unify the party. And I think the bulk of the burden of unifying the party will have to come from our presumptive nominee. I do not want to underplay what he accomplished. He needs to be congratulated for an enormous accomplishment for winning now a plurality of delegates and now he's on his way to winning the majority of delegates.

Tapper followed Speaker Ryan’s response up asking: "So you're saying that you can't support or endorse him right now?"

Speaker Ryan replied: “I am basically saying that”.

He also stated that this is the party of Lincoln, Reagan and Jack Kemp and will don’t always nominate a Lincoln or Reagan every 4 years…, do you mean like we did not in 2011?

How can anyone who is concerned about the welfare of America, the Constitution, and putting America first before their party or ideologies ever support Speaker Ryan again?  Or at least, “to be perfectly candid with you, not right now”?

I understand that their power structure might be hurt, but they have no one to blame but themselves.  The have strung Republicans and Conservatives along with their words, and rarely had any actions to back up those words.

Are you concerned that the establishment wing of the Republican Party is attempting to sabotage their own nominee’s chance of winning?

He may not be what many of us wanted, but as I have been saying on my radio program he is what we have.  The alternative is either a self-identified socialist or someone who is dishonest, not trustworthy and who will put her interest in front of our country’s interest.

The choice to me is rather clear.  Deal with the devil you know, or one that might turn out to be good for America.

Remember, the establishment Republican Party hated Ronald Reagan before he was elected. Many politicians and pundits made similar statements about Reagan as the party elites and pundits are making about Trump today.

We might have to lick our wounds and once again vote for someone who is not our ideal candidate. To me, the alternative is too scary not to do so.
