A planned celebration to honor the Rose Bowl winning Michigan State University Spartans has been canceled with all of the other activities scheduled for today in most parts of the state.

Fans were to welcome their Champs in a celebration today at the Breslin Student Events Center on campus, but the weather is causing that to be postponed.  The Green and White will still be recognized for their amazing feat before the MSU basketball game tomorrow night at the Breslin.  That is, if that event doesn't become the latest victim of the storm system that's dumped more than a foot and a half of snow on the area and generating some of the coldest wind chill temps in decades.

Celebration organizers say the Rose Bowl event will be rescheduled, but at this point it's unclear when.  The underdog Spartans pulled off the win over Stanford 24-20.
