Renk Interviews Economist Dr. Gary Wolfram, Hillsdale College

Today, I will be interviewing Dr. Gary Wolfram. Dr.Wolfram is the William E. Simon Professor of Economics at Hillsdale College and President of Hillsdale Policy Group, a consulting firm specializing in taxation and policy analysis. he received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of California at Berkeley. .

Dr. Wolfram and I will be discussing his new economic analysis on regulating and taxing the medical marijuana industry and how his research has found that it could generate up to $63 million a year for the state and local governments.

I will also take this opportunity to ask him his thoughts on implementing tariffs on Chinese products and how that would affect the U.S. economy.
