President Obama and Congress Not Making the Grade Survey Finds

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is getting grilled again on Capitol Hill today–and by the public with questions on Twitter.   But as she hops back into the fire about The Affordable Care Act, A.K.A. Obamacare, it looks like problems with the roll out of the website–and subsequent developments related to it–are seriously compromising the reputations of those on Capitol Hill.

A new Associated Press-GfK poll finds that nearly two-thirds of Americans surveyed, would like to see their House member out of a job.  In previous polls, they felt Congress as a whole wasn’t doing a good job, but “their” Representative was.  This survey is in sharp contrast to earlier feelings.

While the poll found more are feeling good about the economy and their personal finances, the good will apparently didn’t translate to feelings about President Obama.  His disapproval rating now stands are 58-percent.  Only 42 percent, according to the survey, feel he’s doing a good job.

While the opinions of those in D-C continue to slid, there is speculation that the discontent may ‘not’ lead to a sweep by Republicans in the mid-term elections in j2014.  Many House districts are safe enough to protect incumbants despite voter angst.

The survey, by the way, also asked about immigration reform and found most favor a pathway to legal status for those living here illegally.

many of the questions were submitted onto Twitter.  Congress wanting to know what average citizens think about the botched roll out of the healthcare website.
