Plans have been approved that clear the way Michigan Natural Resource Trust Fund money to be used for a wide range of projects.  In all about $27 million will be allocated. Of the total amount nearly $13 million has been set aside to create new trails all over Michigan. In some cases existing trails will be extended. Some of the money will be put toward making sure the trails are well maintained.

Governor Snyder says not only will this be a great way to widen outdoor recreation but he says it will also help local economies by increasing tourism opportunities in their areas.
