It seems we are in for a bit of a shower over the next couple of days. Actually the entire state is going to get pounded it seems by torrential fall rains. So much for fall color this year. That will pretty much rip the leaves down and wash the forest clean.

Forecasts say both the Upper Peninsula and downstate could see rain totals in excess of 2 inches and localized rainfall could exceed 4 inches in some areas.

The good news from all of this is the Great Lakes will continue to rebound from low water levels a few years ago to very healthy levels now. More rain certainly cannot hurt. It’s a stretch I know but I had to find a silver lining in these very dark clouds.
