In this latest poll 825 Michigan voters were tallied by Public Policy Polling. The survey found in the race for Carl Levin's U.S. Senate seat, Democrat U.S. Representative Gary Peters is ahead of one time Republican Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land by five points, 41% to 36%.

In the race for Governor Republican Rick Snyder is leading Democrat Mark Schauer by four points, 43% to 39%.

The margin of errors in both is about 3%. The survey also determined quite a few voters are yet to make up their minds.

Analysts say Rick Snyder has to convince voters the state's economy has improved enough since he's been in office to give him another term. The same goes for Gary Peters. He has to show his accomplishments in the U.S. House so far have been good enough to keep him in Washington.
