New Michigan Click-It-Or-Ticket Campaign Readies To Start

The Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning says beginning next week the state’s latest seat belt enforcement program will get underway. Advertisements detailing this started today. Traffic safety funds from the federal government are helping to pay for it.

The state’s best yearly seat belt usage rate was in 2009 when it was 97.9%. Michigan’s overall rate last year was 93%.
