MLive.com is reporting that investigators now believe Rebekah "Becky" Bletsch was killed not long before her body was found on June 29th--not hours before as her death certificate indicated.

A couple driving by on Automobile Road found her body lying on the side of the road shortly after 6 p.m.   Records show they called 9-1-1 at 6:11.   The presumed time of death was listed as 3:52 p.m.

But cell phone records indicate Bletsch was still alive closer to 6, meaning she was killed shortly after that last converation.

The victim died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head.  Police have declined, however, to give the exact number.   Her death was originally thought to be a hit and run but shell casings were later found at the scene listing it as a murder.

Ther body was found about three-quarters of a mile from the victim's home.

The case is being handled by a multi-agency police task force led by the Muskegon County Sheriff's Office.  No word yet on why so manyl agenies are involved in the investigation.

Anyone with informaton on the crime or possible suspects, is being asked to contact authorities.
