New Developments in G.M. Ignition Switch Case
As the investigation by General Motors into the ignition switch problem continues C.E.O. Mary Barra says two engineers have been put on paid leave. It has not been reported how they could have been linked to the defective part. No names have been released.
In a news release Barra said it was a difficult decision but one she believes "is best for G.M.."
As a result of the faulty switch about 26 million vehicles have been recalled. Because of accidents alleged to have been caused by the device at least 13 have been killed.
