Ndamukong Suh Wins Suspension Appeal, Will Play In Lions’ Playoff Opener At Dallas

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has won an appeal of his one-game suspension and will play Sunday in the Lions' NFC Wild Card Game at Dallas.

The NFL suspended Suh one game on Monday for stepping twice on Aaron Rodgers' injured leg in Sunday's game at Green Bay. The league reversed that ruling on Tuesday, ESPN reported, electing instead to fine Suh $75,000.

For the Lions, it's very good news. Detroit will need him against the Cowboys, who have won four in a row and boast one of the league's best offensive lines and explosive offenses.

The Lions have been depleted up front on defense, as well, with Nick Fairley having missed eight straight games with an ongoing injury.

A suspension could have meant Suh had played his last game for the Lions. The former Nebraska Cornhusker's contract is up after this season, and it is widely expected he will sign elsewhere next year.
