Legislation was signed yesterday that will allocate millions of additional dollars to help get roads around the state repaired. A devastating winter has taken its toll with officials figuring on extensive damage when all of the snow and ice eventually clears. In places where it already has this damage is clearly evident. (see photo below)

So about $115 million is on its way for primary road projects. About $100 million will be available to localities who have already spent their allotment on wintertime expenses and now have little or no money left.
