MSU RB Delton Williams Agrees To Plea Deal in Gun Case

Multiple reports state that Michigan State Running Back Delton Williams has agreed to a plea deal in 54-B District Court.

Williams, suspended indefinitely after a March 16 incident on campus, pleaded guilty to violating the MSU weapons ordinance 18.01, according to this report at freep.com.

According to the university's website, the ordinance states: "Except as permitted by state law regulating firearms, no person shall possess any firearm or weapon anywhere upon property governed by the Board (of Trustees). Persons residing on property governed by the Board shall store any and all firearms and weapons with the Department of Police and Public Safety."

A report at detnews.com states that Williams will have to relinquish his firearm and will not be able to apply for a concealed weapons permit in any state. Official sentencing, when costs and fines will be determined, has been delayed until December 18.
