Michigan State University President Lou Anna K. Simon will be among nine inductees into the Michigan Women's Hall of Fame. WLNS.com reports that President Simon will be honored in a ceremony this evening at the Kellogg Center. The story reports that there were over 100 nominees for induction this year.

President Simon is one of two local names to be honored, along with Dr. Olivia Letts. Letts was the first African-American hired to teach in the Lansing School District. WLNS reports that Diana Ross and Reverend Faith Fowler are also to be inducted.
