Michigan’s Trail System Could Get Larger
Years ago the state started changing over old rail lines. The tracks were taken out and then the area in and around where they used to be was paved. There are over 2,500 miles of these "recreational trails" across Michigan now. Perfect for walkers, joggers and bicycle riders. In addition the state has about another 12,000 miles of regular trails. Now the "State Department of Natural Resources" is looking over plans that would allow Michigan's overall trail system to expand.
