WILX.com reports that the first case of rabies in Michigan so far in 2017 has been reported in our neck of the woods. Officials in Ingham County confirmed the transmittable disease in a brown bat.

According to the report, there were 41 cases across the state in 2016. most of those were found in skunks and bats.
