Michigan Terrorist Concern?

There are now two Americans confirmed dead while fighting for ISIS, the radical Muslim movement in Iraq and Syria. The number of Americans fighting on the side of Isis has been estimated into the thousands. Michigan has the largest population in the nation of immigrants from the Middle East and therefore it would stand to reason that we would be at higher risk of homegrown terrorism.

Do you think if an American is caught planning to attack us either here or abroad is guilty of treason? If so what should the punishment be? Would you support the death penalty for a convicted traitor?
