Michigan State continued its offensive tear, rolling up 56 points and 500-plus yards of offense en route to pummeling Wyoming Saturday in East Lansing.

The Spartans put up big offensive numbers in the first half again, accumulating a 42-14 halftime lead. Quarterback Connor Cook threw just eight passes in the first half, but two of them went for scores. MSU began substituting in younger players in the second quarter.

MSU saw some good signs from Jeremy Langford, who ran for 137 yards on 16 carries, eclipsing the 100-yard mark for the first time this season. Langford had been struggling to regain his form from a season ago, but on Saturday he showed flashes of that, including a long 36-yard run to open the game.

The Spartan defense, however, may be of concern. MSU yielded several big plays to the Cowboys, including a 50-plus yard run in the second quarter. Junior safety RJ Williamson struggled, missing multiple tackles, leading to big plays for Wyoming. He also appeared to blow a coverage assignment, leading to Wyoming's second touchdown.

MSU's defense allowed 286 yards, but forced three turnovers.

The Spartans open up Big Ten play next Saturday at home in a night game versus Nebraska.
