According to a report from WILX,com, Michigan lawmakers have recognized a shortage of medical marijuana in  the state, which may bode well for home growers.

Since the state has put restrictions on how licensed provisional centers can obtain product, there has been a shortage of supply for medical marijuana patients. But, officials from the state Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs are pondering an option to alleviate the shortage.

Next week, a licensing board within LARA will decide whether licensed dispensaries can accept product from caregivers under the current Michigan Medical Marihuana licensing system can sell product to licensed dispensaries in the state.
