I had informed my listeners a week ago about Democratic candidate for Attorney General of Michigan Dana Nessel, a Plymouth Michigan lawyer.  Ms. Nessel believes that one of her best qualifications to become the next Attorney General of Michigan is the fact that she doesn’t have a penis”.

Well apparently that was enough to overcome a unified group of union labor groups, led by the United Auto Workers who endorsed former U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan, Democrat Pat Miles of Grand Rapids.

After a day-long convention yesterday, Dana Nessel won the Democratic Party of Michigan’s endorsement for Michigan’s next attorney general.  Ms. Nessel had brought together what people are saying was “a coalition of progressive activists, marijuana supporters and Democrats energized to join the party after the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States in 2016”.

Ms. Nessel was quoted in the Detroit Free Press stating:

I think the Democratic Party was ready for a more unconventional candidate and race…I was really excited to get so many new members signed up. There's a lot of enthusiasm for the party in a way that we haven't seen it for while.

This is a win-win situation for the state of Michigan and the Republican Party.  She self identifies as an extremely progressive (meaning socialist) candidate which I believe may make it easier for whomever the Republican Party chooses as their candidate to run in the General Election for Michigan’s next Attorney General.

Or, if she does win I can only assume that she will pull Michigan so far left, the citizens of Michigan will realize their error and what the Democratic Party has become and less Michigan citizens will vote for a Democrat in the future.
