The Lansing State Journal reports that McLaren Greater Lansing has officially announced plans to build a new hospital facility in south Lansing, adjacent to the Michigan State University campus. The new facility will allow McLaren to consolidate its current Greenlawn and Pennsylvania campuses into one.

According to the report, the new hospital will be built on land purchased from the MSU Foundation inside the University Corporate Research Park near the intersection of Collins Road and Forest Road. It will reportedly have 240 beds, an ambulatory care center, and cancer center. Construction on the $450 million project is slated to begin in the spring of 2018, with completion expected in 2021.
