Eight days ago Michigan State defeated Michigan at the Breslin Center. Tomorrow the rematch is nigh in Ann Arbor.

This season has featured quick turnarounds and fast rematches on the schedule for Michigan State. Earlier this season Michigan State played home and home with Minnesota in the span of about two weeks. Later on they'll play Nebraska at the Breslin Center, only about three weeks removed from the Spartans victory in Lincoln.

This nine day turnaround for the same opponent (Michigan) is one of the quickest in recent Big Ten scheduling history (non-tournament games).

Izzo says the practice plans don't change too much despite them seeing Michigan less than 10 days ago.

Izzo and players Miles Bridges and Tum Tum Nairn were asked about their thoughts on this rivalry. Izzo especially was asked for as long as he's been invested in it about the respect he has for Coach Beilein and Michigan.

Coach Izzo also mentioned how you shouldn't "like" your rival, calling it tongue-in-cheek "Un-American" among other things, but that he has great respect for them and what they are doing, and that those are the type of rivalries that produce great games.

Bridges was asked about the rivalry, because he was excited to get back on the floor against Michigan: "It's a rivalry game, I love rivalry games, I just like to see how our team is gonna respond against them there"

Nairn: "Right now, it's all about us getting better, it don't matter who we play, just gotta keep getting better and keep getting wins"
