According to WLNS.com, Ingham County Circuit Court Judge Rosemarie Aquilina has been named in an investigation of obstruction of justice involving the release of a courtroom video.

The investigation, initially requested by the Ingham County Sheriff's Office, will determine whether Aquilina will face obstruction of justice charges after courtroom video was released showing a court defendant, Joshua Harding, attacking an Ingham County Assistant Prosecutor as he was about to be sentenced in another circuit courtroom.

The Clinton County Prosecutor's Office has been tasked with the investigation by Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette after Interim Ingham County Prosecutor Gretchen Whitmer recused herself from the case.

Aquilina's attorney calls the investigation a political stunt after the Ingham County Sheriff's Office was embarrassed by the incident.
