According to Feeding America, U.S. food banks are expected to give away 4 billion pounds of food this year, more than double provided a decade ago.

My question is why?

We have been told by the President, his administration and the democrat party that we have rebounded and are at full employment levels.  Full employment has always been considered by the government when the government’s unemployment rate is around 5%.

According to an article I just read in the AP the need for food banks exploded in 2008 when the economy went south and the demand continues to go up each year.

Again why?

Have we been lied to by this President, his administration and the democrat party or is there something else going on?

I believe there is something else going on and that is what I have been discussing and informing you for years.  If you want to believe this administration and their job numbers you must now know that the jobs created are mostly minimum wage.

That is right; the very thing democrats railed against George W. saying he created mostly minimum wage jobs are themselves promoting the fact that the great comeback is compromised of mostly minimum wage jobs.

According to the AP article James Ziliak, founder of the Center for Poverty Research at the University of Kentucky, said “the increased demand is surprising since the economy is growing and unemployment has dropped from 10 percent during the recession to 5.3 percent last month.  However, many people who have found jobs are working only part-time or for low wages, and others have stopped looking for work.”

So there you go, what I have been informing you about for years is now buttressed with research.

Now if you do not believe the research then your only other option as I see it is most of these people are lying to the food banks and stealing food from those that really need it.
