Governor Snyder is on the road today but is still on the job.  He's set to visit Flint to make what is being described as a "significant manufacturing" announcement.

The Republican governor will be joined by representatives of General Motors and its unions at the Flint Assembly plant for the announcement.  The alliance is seen as a strange one for many.  Snyder found himself in the union crosshairs after signing into law the controversial Right to Work legislation last year at this time.  The sides also don't agree on a minimum wage levels.

Flint, known as the birthplace of the union, has been struggling since the decline of the auto industry. No official word yet on what the governor is likely to say but he's been focusing on finding investment for the state both here and abroad.   The announcement will be streamed live at www.livestream.com/snyderlive
