Governor Snyder Calls for Over One Million Refund Checks
Governor Snyder says low and middle income homeowners deserve a tax break. That proposal is a part of his state budget plan unveiled today. He said if approved about 1.3 million would end up getting money back way of a refund check. He cites statistics that show the state has about $1 billion in additional revenue and he says providing property tax relief "for hard working families across Michigan" is the right thing to do. Next state lawmakers will look all of the Governor's budget proposals over and decide to either approve them or make modifications.
