General Motors Boosting Volt Production

General Motors says it needs more employees to build the plug in hybrid Chevy Volt. As a result it's being reported next week the automaker is ready to announce hundreds of jobs will be added at its Detroit Hamtramck Assembly Plant. This is the only G.M. facility building the plug in version. In addition G.M. is expected to announce quite a few more will be hired on at a battery assembly plant in Wayne County as well.

Last year G.M. sold about 23,000 volts. Sales s far this year are nearing 4,000.
