Those looking to do a bit of traveling this spring better budget more if they're driving.  Gas prices are expected to skyrocket by Easter.

GasBuddy.com is reporting today that experts believe the price at the pump will jump as much as 40 cents a gallon.  The reason?  The same as usual....increased demand, a switch back to more expensive Summer gas blends, and more refineries shutting down either for maintenance or upgrades.

The hardest hit areas are expected to be in the northeast and west.  California's gas prices have risen 5 cents a day in recent days with no end in sight.

Industry analysts say the best way to deal financially with the increase in cost is to budget ahead and try to save money in other ways, like shorter hotel stays or vacations closer to home.
