According to a report from WILX.com, a rough week for Ford continues. After announcing a major recall earlier this week affecting more than 500,000 vehicles, consumer complaints have prompted the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to investigate another 127,000 Ford Escape SUV's.

According to the report, the NHTSA has received around 40 complaints about 2013 Ford Escapes with the 1.6-liter turbocharged engines overheating and causing the vehicle to stall while running. Two complaints say that the engines caught fire.

Ford already recalled 200,000 Escapes for the same reason, but the 2013 model was not included.
