Saving Lives…One Step at a Time! Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) is hosting the Walk for the Animals on Saturday, September 13 at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge; rain or shine.

Register online and personalize your own page to have friends and family sponsor you, to help CAHS save the lives of homeless animals in Mid-Michigan. There are different incentives available based on the amount that you raise.

Then, attend the event, which features an unofficial 5k and 1-mile course that are both stroller-friendly, a vendor expo, dog obstacle course, midway with carnival games and contests for both humans and dogs, a pancake breakfast, and much more from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.! Participants are encouraged to bring their dog, family, and friends.

Registration options include visiting the website at www.AdoptLansing.org, and clicking on the “Walk for the Animals” tab or registering on the day of the event starting at 9 a.m. at Fitzgerald Park.

The Capital Area Humane Society challenges the community to raise funds and awareness for the homeless animals in need in Mid-Michigan. Their goal is to raise $80,000 (or more!) this year, and they need help. Whether participants wish to walk, run, or simply register to be a fundraiser, their efforts will help provide food, shelter, and care for up to 290 animals every single day! 100% of all funds raised at this event go directly to support the more than 10,000 animals CAHS cares for annually.
