A project more than a decade in planning has been scrapped by officials in East Lansing. According to WLNS.com, the Park district Project redevelopment effort is no longer a reality.

A dispute over tax credits by two development companies is forcing the hands of officials. The corner of Abbot Road and Grand River Avenue is home to many vacant buildings that were scheduled to be demolished and replaced by mixed-use developments.

According to the WLNS report, demolition of the buildings will still take place. But, no plans for new structures are on the table at this time.
