East Lansing Police Say Student Dressed As Clown Brought Knives To School

The clown scare craze has affected a local school. WLNS.com reports an incident Friday morning at East Lansing's Macdonald Middle School involving a 12-year-old girl dressed like a clown who reportedly brought knives with her to school. Now, police, school, and judicial branch officials are deciding how best to handle the situation.

The girl reportedly wore a clown mask and chased kids with large kitchen knives at a bus stop Friday morning in Meridian Township. When the girl arrived at school, a school officer found the two knives in her backpack. According to the WLNS story, officials believe the girl's intent was to only scare other children, not stab them.

There is no decision on any punishment or charges for the girl.
