Other states are doing this and now Michigan will as well. Governor Snyder has signed legislation allowing for the testing of automated vehicles on Michigan roadways. The Governor says this will help make sure Michigan will--quote--"stay at the forefront in automotive technological advances that will make driving safer and more efficient in the future."  The legislation allows automakers to test driverless motor vehicles but requires a person to be in the driver's seat to keep tabs on performance and intervene if necessary.
