Wednesday the Michigan Senate will meet, on the agenda is the “Scientific Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act.”   This act will give authority to the National Resources Commission to allow them to establish new hunts and name game species.

Michigan citizens gathered signatures to allow for ballot proposals to hunt wolves.  The Michigan Constitution gives the house and senate the ability to pass legislation without needing a signature from the governor.  This could make it legal for wolf hunting to continue.
