Cyber-security is in the headlines once again. Head Chinese military officials have been accused of hacking into U.S. companies to steal trade secrets.  Here are my concerns:

1)   If Chinese intelligence can hack into U.S. companies to steal trade secrets why couldn’t anyone else? Like Iran? What about missiles and weaponry? There are many private companies that provide such services to the Unites States Government.

2)   What about the safety of our information in lets say healthcare.gov? All I can think is here is one very big database base housing all of our very sensitive information in one very convenient place. Does anyone see a big bullseye flashing?

3)   What about our antiquated grid system in the U.S. that manages our energy and water supplies?

The question is: what are we going to do and how are we going to do it? But I hope for the security of my information, your information and for the protection and security of each and every one of us, our government better figure it out. Because the one thing our government is supposed to do is protect it’s people.
