The Detroit News is reporting that the body of a student, identified only as a female freshman at Western Michigan University, was found in a dorm room around 2 o'clock this morning.

Attemps to revive the teen proved unsuccessful. Her name is being withheld pending notication of family.

The report says police at the university say there was no indication drugs or alcohol played a role in the death.  They believe it could have been the result of a pre-existing medical condition.

An autopsy is being conducted  in Lansing to determine an exact cause..
