When it comes to what kills you in nature there is nothing more deadly to people than cold weather! Cold is a vicious and ruthless killer that claims hundreds of Americans and thousands worldwide each year.

Don’t take my word for it check the statistics from the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) a division of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Based on death certificates between 2006 and 2010 about 2,000 U.S. residents die each year from weather related causes. The CDC report found that 63% of these deaths were attributed to exposure to excessive natural cold!  By comparison about 31% of these deaths were attributed to exposure to excessive natural heat, heat stroke, sun stroke and so on.

For those among us that believe Chicken Little is right and the sky is falling there is this little fact: Only about 6% of weather related deaths were attributed to floods, severe storms, tornadoes, hurricanes or lightning.

So Global Warming is a bad thing? Put a log on the fire if you could and then explain yourself.
