Well for the very first time since America received a gift of Cherry Trees from Japan in 1912, the spring bloom may be devastated by cold weather. If the temperatures would stay at about 27 or 28 degrees the fabled blossoms may have made it to peak bloom in the next 5 to 10 days but the wickedly cold weather has pushed the mercury all the way down to 21 degrees and that means almost no bloom this year in DC.

This something that has not happened in 105 years in the nations Capital.

I’m quite sure it will somehow be turned into a political argument of some sort or we could just accept that weather and climate are always shifting, adjusting and yes changing.

I’m guessing the blossoms will return in all of their glory next year. I guess we will find out.
